MMS: Good morning and welcome back everyone! 8 weeks to go! I hope everyone had a great Spring Break. MMS softball has home games today and Thursday. MMS baseball is at Belen Thursday. MMS Track is home on Wednesday. Come out and watch our athletes in action! Next week we begin our NM Summative Assessment for Math. We will test Session 1 Tuesday, 04/08 morning and Session 2 Thursday, 04/10 morning. Please encourage your students to do their best and show what they know! The following week we will assess Reading in the same way, Session 1 Tuesday, 04/15 and Session 2 Thursday, 04/17. Thanks everyone, have a wonderful week!

MMS: Good morning and happy Monday to everyone! NM State Science testing has begun for our 8th graders! We wish them the best of luck and that they show us the knowledge they've developed this year! Don't forget to join us this Friday at 9 am for academic awards and attendance assembly in the MMS gym. 8th Grade students are also learning hands only CPR this week in their health classes. Next week, 03/24-03/28 is Spring Break! Have a great week everyone!

MMS has a National History Day Central Region Champion! Elizabeth Williams wrote an essay on Nuclear Pollution and placed 1st in the regional competition today! Congrats Elizabeth! Watch for her to compete at State!


MMS: Happy Friday/Weekend to everyone! 8th grade students will be taking their state science assessment (ASR) next week! They will take this test during their regularly scheduled science classes. Please encourage your students to do their best! We will also have our Quarter 3 academic/attendance award ceremony next Friday, 03/21 at 9 am! Put rocks in your pockets so you don't blow away and have a great weekend!

MMS: Happy Monday everyone! Quarter 3 report cards come out this week! We are now in Quarter 4. Quarter 4 determines athletic eligibility for the fall so future 7th and 8th graders that want to play sports in the fall need to focus on their grades this quarter! MMS will use the same eligibility for 8th grade promotion as last year. We will recognize students who have no more than 1 F on their Quarter 4 report card! We're in the final stretch, keep working hard! Baseball and Softball are @ Estancia today 3/10. National History Day Regionals are Friday! Have a great week everyone!

MMS: Good morning everyone! It is time for the MESD Truck Raffle. MMS athletes will be required to sell a book of 5 raffle tickets. Tickets are $10 a piece. Once the book has been sold, the ticket stubs and money need to be turned into either Ms. Sommer or Ms. Sarah in the office. These tickets are being distributed to athletes today so families be on the lookout for them when your student athletes get home. Have a great day everyone!

MMS: Good morning everyone. MMS Track kicks off today. Practice is after school until 5 pm. Please ensure that you have all athletic packet and physical completed! We now have baseball, track and softball all going. The end of the 3rd quarter grading period is approaching. The last day of the grading period is March 7th. Please check with your students about their grades! Get all missing work submitted! On March 4th, 8th grade students will visit Moriarty High School for 8th grade extravaganza. Students will tour the campus and see the various electives that will be available to them next year when they are freshmen. Thanks for your time, have a great week everyone!

Moriarty-Edgewood Schol District will be closed on Monday, February 17th, in observance of Presidents' Day. Students will return to class on Tuesday, February 18th.

MMS: Good morning all! Just some updates about the week ahead. We've got a Valentine Dance on Thursday 02/13. Students must not have any Fs and no behavioral referrals in February, in order to be eligible to attend. Please check with your student about their grades especially any missing assignments! We've got Parent Teacher Conferences on Thursday 02/13 until 6:45 pm and Friday 02/14 until 11:45 am. If you'd like one scheduled, contact the office.
